Stormwater Fee Credits, Appeals

Property owners may qualify for a credit of up to 50% of the annual stormwater fee assessed to a property.  If you think you may qualify for a credit, please review the applicable Credit Policy linked below and submit an Application Form to the Township by email at [email protected] or by mail at Cheltenham Township | 8230 Old York Road | Elkins Park, PA 19027 | attn.: Stormwater Fee Credit Application.

Credits will be applied to your annual bill and will not be applied retroactively. Credit applications are due by September 1 of the year preceding the year in which you wish to receive a credit. 2023 is the first year a credit will be applied.

We are experiencing a delay in processing inquiries for stormwater credits due to staffing challenges. The deadline to express interest in applying for credits on the 2023 bill has been extended until September 30, 2022.  No new expressions of interest will be accepted after September 30, 2022.  Following September 30, 2022, the Township will reach out to those who expressed interest to schedule meetings and help them submit applications, as appropriate. Thank you for your patience.
