In November 2019, Cheltenham Township adopted a Traffic Calming Policy that reflects the Township’s commitment to address a wide range of traffic-related issues, including vehicular and pedestrian mobility, efficiency and safety. The Traffic Calming Policy is designed to address traffic concerns on local roads, such as speeding, high volume, cut-through traffic and pedestrian safety.
The Township’s Traffic Calming Program requires the establishment of a Traffic Calming Committee consisting of Township Public Safety Personnel, Commissioners and Residents representing each ward to review traffic complaints and recommend solutions. For more information, please read the Traffic Calming Policy.
The Traffic Calming Committee currently meets quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September, and December, at 7:30pm.
