Cheltenham PickleballHave you heard of Pickleball? It’s the fastest growing sport in the country, and it’s right here with Cheltenham Pickleball!

Our mission is to promote community health, social engagement, sportsmanship and fun through organized pickleball activities, and enhance and expand programs and facilities that enable those activities.

Why is pickleball so popular? As a combination of ping pong, tennis, and badminton, it’s easy to learn but hard to master. It brings people together and builds community. It's a great workout that you can play at your own pace. It's something that younger and older folks can play together. We welcome first timers and all levels of play, so join us. Currently, play events are for adults. We’re hoping to offer youth play in the future.

Becoming a Member

All three steps MUST be completed to be eligible for play.

Step One - Creating an Account: Create an account on Recdesk. You will receive an email confirming the account was created, however you will need to wait for the account to be approved before you can register for the program. This site is used for all our programs, not only Pickleball, so to speed up the verification process please email to let us know what program you are trying to register for and you can also email a copy of your valid driver's license to [email protected]. The license is used to determine if you qualify for the resident discount rate.  If you are a Salus University student, staff, or faculty member, and are playing indoor pickleball, you will provide your Salus ID information during registration and will not need to go through residency verification.

Step Two - Enrollment in the Program: After your residency status is verified, you will receive a confirmation email that your account can be used to register for a program.  Log into Recdesk and go to the Programs page to register for a pickleball program. For assistance, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 215-887-6200 ext. 227 or email [email protected]. Due to call volume, emailing may be faster than calling. Enrollment is effective immediately upon purchase. If the program is full and Waitlist is displayed, select that option, as those on the program wait list will be the first to be notified when enrollment spots become available. Your receipt will display on the screen after you submit payment. You can always look at the invoice by logging into your account and selecting View Invoice on your profile page.  Next, you must complete Step Three to play.

Step Three - Install the TeamReach App: D
ownload the free TeamReach mobile app, available on both Apple and Google app stores. You will need to install the app on your tablet or mobile device. When prompted enter the group code: CheltenhamPB. TeamReach is how members browse and sign up for play on the play calendars, send and receive messages and notifications, and more.
