2021 POOL MEMBERSHIPS
ONLY CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR POOL MEMBERSHIPS

Glenside Pool – Open May 29th to September 6th (Except August 30th - September 3rd) 

Conklin Pool – Open June 19th to September 6th

Pool Hours:
May 29 through June 18
Daily Pool Hours --12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Holiday Hours --10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon & 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
June 19 through September 6 (We will no longer close for sanitizing of the facilities.)
Daily Pool Hours --12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
Holiday Hours --12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

***Due to the extended hours of the pools, the fees will revert to 2019 daily fees and guest fees. Fees were decreased because they were for a three hour time slot. We no longer have time slots so have to return to charging for the day. Signs were posted at the pools on June 15th after the decision was made in order to give members advance notice.***


WALK-IN REGISTRATION IS NOT AVAILABLE.
*There is a pool registration listed on the Township Calendar for Saturday, June 19, 2021, but because we are still closed to the public, it will not be held.*

  NOTE: Only Cheltenham Township residents are eligible for pool memberships.

NEW APPLICANTS (or residents who have not had a membership in the last five years) must provide:

  • A driver’s license, deed, mortgage or lease to prove residency
  • Birth certificates are required for all children.


Online Registration 
- Click on the link above to go to our online registration portal.
- When you create the account you will receive an email acknowledging the account was successfully created, but every new account will still need to be verified by our department, which will take at least 3 business days, but due to the high number of new accounts, it is taking longer. 
- We check your residence to verify you live in Cheltenham Township, and we check custody/guardianship to ensure you are the parent or guardian of the children you add to your account. We have to make sure you can sign consent forms and waivers for them to participate in programs and memberships.
- The verification process for new accounts usually takes 3 business days . Please note that due to the volume of new accounts being created, it is taking longer to verify the accounts. Members on file are usually processed faster. If you are a new member OR are adding a new member, you can speed up the process if you drop off a copy of your forms of verification at our secure drop box at 8230 Old York Road (the Township Administration Building) or you may email [email protected]. All copies would be shredded whether in paper or electronic form. We do not keep copies. You will only need to verify the birth certificates once. The old format used paper forms to record verifications, and we can only go back five years, so if you have not registered in the last five years and we cannot locate you on file, you will be asked to provide that documentation. We ask to see a driver's license each year you renew to verify you have not moved residences.

You may print the forms and return them both to us with a check or money order made payable to "Cheltenham Township". Applications, COVID-19 Waivers and payments should be mailed to:

Please note: If you do not return the signed COVID-19 waiver then your application will not be processed and you will not receive pool tags. A common question asked is about the wording on the waiver. On the waiver it specifies, parent or guardian. If you are purchasing the membership for yourself you can sign on the program participant line, but the waiver needs to be completed and returned regardless if you are registering a for a family or one person.
- Applications that are mailed in or left in the drop box will have a receipt sent through the mail. If you mailed in or dropped off your application, please allow us a few days to assign the tags and get the tags to the pool. You may call to verify we have received your application, to see if we were able to process it, or to see if we have sent your tags to the pool yet. You may also reach out to the pool to see if they received the tags.

Important: NEW or Past members who have any changes or additions to their old memberships must include verification for processing. Verification includes driver's license for adults and birth certificates for children. If you do not wish to mail this sensitive information, you may place it in our drop box located by the front door at 8230 Old York Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027. Please be sure to seal the envelope and mark it to the attention of Parks and Recreation. If you have any questions call 215-887-6200, ext. 227 or email [email protected].

*Membership cards or tags are never mailed to residents. In the past they could be picked up at the office, or the pools once the pools open. Because Glenside Pool is open, you may pick up your tags there. We do not have them at the Parks and Recreation office (which is still closed to the public). You may pick these up the first time you visit the pool. You will be required to show your driver's license so the staff can be sure to hand you the correct membership cards/tags.* Due to the volume of memberships purchased and tags assigned, we are not able to meet demand. If you registered online please print your receipt and use that to gain entrance to the pool until your tags are ready for you to pick up. Because of the increased demand, I no longer have enough time to email you to tell you I have sent them to the pool, so please ask for them when you go because they will be at the pool before I can reach out to inform you they are there. You may also call the pool to see if your tags are there. Glenside Pool: 215-885-1717. Currently, all tags are at Glenside Pool. June 19th, all tags in the Conklin box will be sent to Conklin Pool for pick up. Please do not call the Conklin pool earlier than June 19th because there is no one there to answer the phone. Memberships are valid for both pools, but on the application we ask you to chose the pool you will visit more often as your main pool on the application. That helps us determine how many lifeguards we need at each location.

You cannot purchase a pool membership at the pools. You may purchase memberships online or via mail or drop box.

If you have questions about Swim Team please call the respective pool for more information. The registrations for Swim Team will be held at the pools. Children will need to have a pool membership to join the Swim Team, and memberships are only processed online or via mail in to the Parks and Recreation Office. 

We are not able to offer swim lessons at this time.

FEES:
The fees are listed on both the flyer and the application, but residents have asked for it to be visible on the site as well.
Seasonal memberships mean you may visit the pool as much as you want during the season. A Daily membership requires you to pay a registration fee and then pay each visit to the pool. You may take a guest, and pay the guest fee regardless which membership type you have.

FAMILY SEASONAL MEMBERSHIP 
Per our policy, a family is considered a person and their spouse or significant other, and their children up to the age of 23 (with valid school I.D.) A family membership is for a family, not a household. If more than one family resides in the same house they are both eligible for their own separate family memberships, but they cannot be combined onto one family membership. The fee for a 2021 Seasonal Family Pool Membership is $250. 

SEASONAL YOUTH MEMBERSHIP
A youth up to the age of 23 (with valid school I.D.) is eligible for this membership. The fee for a 2021 Seasonal Youth Pool Membership is $80.

SEASONAL ADULT MEMBERSHIP
The fee for an adult for the 2021 season is $130.

SEASONAL SENIOR MEMBERSHIP
Adults ages 62 and older qualify for a 'Senior' membership discount. The 2021 Senior Seasonal Pool Membership is $50.

DAILY TAG
This daily tag has a $35 registration fee. Each member that has paid the $35 and receives a daily tag will pay a lower fee than guests will pay to use the pool. CASH ONLY. The pools accept cash only, no checks or credit/debit cards.

Adults (18 and older) $7 per day
Youth (3-17) $6 per day


GUESTS
One guest per tag holding member. Check with your pool manager to see if restrictions ease enough to allow a party. The pools are not rented out for private parties. CASH ONLY. The pools accept cash only, no checks or credit/debit cards. ***Due to the extended hours of the pools, the fees will revert to 2019 daily fees and guest fees. Adults (18 and older) $12 on weekdays / $15 on weekends
