Main Street Committees

Cheltenham Township
Main Street Program

The National Historic Trust developed the Main Street Program in the early 1980s to arrest sprawl and reinvigorate downtown shopping districts, administered by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.

The Main Street Program model includes four committees, which meet once a month. Each focuses on a different element of the economic development approach. The committees work under the direction of the Economic Development Task Force to help establish the program strategies.

Help shape the commercial future of the Township by getting involved now. Volunteer for a Main Street committee that sparks your interests. Contact the Township Manager at 215-887-6200, ext. 112, for more details.
