Public Demo/Q&A This Friday, 10/14 at 7pm

Spurred on by the many instances of severe flooding across the Township in the past, a recent partnership between Cheltenham Township Emergency Management and the Township's Fire Companies has created the Water Rescue Task Force (WRTF). The WRTF is a great collaboration of Emergency Management Staff and members of the Township's Fire Department, in addition to members of other local fire companies. Members of the Task Force all receive training in water and swift water rescues. They have been working for months to meet training objectives and ensure they will be ready for any water emergencies that may arise. The Task Force uses specialized equipment like "Babe", the big blue water rescue vehicle to keep our residents safe.

On Friday, October 14, at 7pm at the Fire Training area on Tookany Creek Parkway, members of the WRTF will be displaying equipment and able to answer your questions. You will also have the opportunity to view fire equipment and demonstrations.
