Storm Update

See important updates about storm damage.
The sudden storm has caused flooding, power outages, and downed trees and wires throughout the Township. Power outages have impacted a significant amount of streetlights as well.

Our Emergency Management team has been keeping track of all reported power outages, and PECO has been notified.  Road crews will begin to clean up the downed trees and debris throughout the Township.  First responders are still having trouble accessing some areas.
We URGE all residents to use extreme caution while traveling; if possible, please stay home and be patient as both PECO and Township crews will have many areas in need of attention with downed trees and wires.
If you do need to travel, expect significant delays, stay clear of blocked roads and downed wires in many locations, and please cooperate with all first responders.

Flash flood warning is still in effect for the area until 9:00pm.
Glenside Pool is CLOSED for the evening.

Due to emergency circumstances, tonight's meeting of the Board of Commissioners is currently planned to be Zoom only, as Curtis Hall has been affected by the power outage. Zoom link is in the agenda.

We recognize that some of our residents may not be able to access these messages if their online servers are down with the power outages - please pass to those you know and check on your neighbors.
