Montco Trail Challenge Begins May 5

Posted on Thursday April 26, 2018

Looking for a fun way to get out and moving? The Montco Trail Challenge will run from May 5 to December 2.

The Montgomery County Office of Public Health, in partnership with the Planning Commission, Commissioners, and Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, is sponsoring a family-friendly Trail Challenge for all ages!

The Montco Trail Challenge is a great opportunity for families and individuals of all ages to exercise, explore, and experience the traffic-free network of parks, trails, and historic sites throughout the County.

Selected parks and trails throughout the County have been identified and assigned their own unique shape which is mounted at trail heads or parking lots. Upon visiting the listed parks and trails, participants have to find and correctly identify the designated shape, similar to a scavenger hunt.

Depending on how many trails or parks participants visit, tiered educational reinforcements can be earned.

Please see the attached documents for more information and for Montco Trail Challenge Card Pick-Up locations. More information can also be found on the following website, where cards can also be printed:  www.montcopa.org/trailchallenge.

You can also contact Kristi Goodman with any questions or if you are interested in receiving Montco Trail Challenge cards, who can be reached at (610) 278-5117 x 6779 or at [email protected].
