Arcadia Public Art Project Launches Phase Two of Glenside Septa Mural
Posted on Wednesday April 25, 2018
A group of student apprentices working under muralist David Guinn will implement another mural at the Glenside Septa station by the end of April.

Returning Philadelphia muralist, David Guinn, will be leading a new group of Arcadia students to paint Phase Two of the Arcadia Public Art Project. The new mural will also be under the SEPTA train underpass, directly across from its’ sister mural Bits’ N’ Pieces painted in the Spring of 2017. The new and returning students will be holding community forums, conducting interviews, doing research, and fundraising before bringing Phase Two to life in April. The students in the mural apprenticeship program will be collaborating on a design with the community, in efforts to unite Glenside and the surrounding communities.

The Kickstarter gives people the opportunity to donate to the project, and the donations will be used in order to implement the LED lights. Every donation secures the donator with a piece of merchandise, including a sticker, water bottle, tote bag, and t-shirt, all available at different price points. The merchandise will be given out after the Kickstarter closes. In order to implement the lights, $7500.00 must be raised. This is a community effort to achieve the lighting, so everyone should consider donating what they can. The lights cannot be achieved without the support of the whole community!
