When you dial 9-1-1 for a medical emergency, the Cheltenham Township Emergency Medical Service (EMS) answers your call. Our highly trained staff uses state-of-the-art equipment to provide aid that save lives. During 2017 EMS expects to respond to over 3,000 calls for help, but just once a year we ask for your assistance to help us continue providing top-notch care in the face of rising heath care costs.
By becoming a subscriber, you can support EMS and eliminate unnecessary expenses, such as deductibles and co-pay obligations for you and your family. While EMS does not provide transportation for routine medical or doctor’s visits, your subscription will save you money on any emergency calls your family might need in 2017. The average emergency ambulance call costs more than $800. However, EMS will bill Medicare and insurance companies to keep your costs down. You may view our 2017 mailing here 2017 Subscription Letter
You may join the subscription program at any time during the year, but you will only be covered until 12/31/2017.
Our 2017 subscription rates are $60 for a family, $40 for an individual, $25 for one senior (age 65 or over) and $50 for a senior couple. We also gratefully appreciate your tax-deductible contributions, which can be included on your 2017 Subscription Card. When completing your card, please include all persons living in your home since only listed residents will be covered by your subscription. Please sign your card to authorize billing by EMS in the event our services are needed. We thank you for your support over the past 35 years.
