BID POLICY
Operating and capital
projects with budgets expected to exceed $10,000 must be awarded by legal
bid in accordance with the Pennsylvania Public Bidding Laws and Cheltenham
Township Home Rule Charter. Professional services are exempt; however, the
Township typically advertises “Requests for Proposals” for professional
consultants.
Cheltenham Township publishes all Bid Notices in the Times Chronicle [Montgomery Newspapers, Fort Washington, PA] or The Intelligencer [Calkins Media Inc., Doylestown, PA] newspapers.

Bid Projects
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township of Cheltenham, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, 8230 Old York Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027-1589 is soliciting bid proposals from qualified companies to provide janitorial services for a number of municipally-owned buildings in accordance with the general conditions and detailed bid specifications. The buildings include the Township Administration Building, Police Administration Building, District Justice Building, Public Service Facility, and the Wall House Museum.
All bids must be in writing, signed and sealed by the bidders. Bids will be received at the Township of Cheltenham, Office of the Township Manager, Township Administration Building, 8230 Old York Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027-1589, until Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. (prevailing time), at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders shall take note that there will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 commencing at 10:00 A.M. at the Township Administration Building.
