Special Third Loose Leaf Collections
To accommodate late-falling leaves in 2007, the Board of Commissioners has authorized a special third loose-leaf collection for Routes 15 through 9. Public Works crews will post notices in the affected neighborhoods after the regularly scheduled collection is completed. We expect the third collections to begin on January 2, 2008, and continue through completion; however, the schedule is subject to change due to winter weather. 

Leaves, Garden Debris, Grass & Twigs
In addition to the fall program, biodegradable paper bags will also be collected throughout the spring and summer to assist residents with the lawn and garden work. Leaves, twigs, grass clippings and garden debris may always be included together in biodegradable paper bags during any of the scheduled collections. In fact, state law mandates that these materials must be recycled, so Township crews will not accept them with household waste.

Bagged Leaves Drop Off
Residents who want to dispose of leaves after their final collection may bag them in biodegradable paper bags and drop them off at the Waverly Road Compost Facility, located between Church Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Laverock, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays, except holidays.

Branch Collection
Disposing of large branches requires an appointment for a special collection, which entails a fee.  However, no branch collections will be scheduled during the fall leaf collection program.
