CHILD SAFETY SEAT PROGRAM

According to the Department of Transportation 80 to 85% of all child safety seats on the road are installed incorrectly. In response to this information, the Cheltenham Township Police Department had three Officers trained in Child Safety Seat installation. The Officers completed a weeklong training program and were certified in the proper installation of child safety seats.

In July 2006, the Department launched the free Child Safety Seat Inspection Program. Our trained Officers will inspect your child safety seat to ensure it is properly installed.
