Earth Day Activities
Posted Date:
3/30/2017
Join your neighbors in any of the community projects to commemorate Earth Day in Cheltenham Township this April.
Earth Day projects are slated throughout the Township, the first community in Montgomery County to adopt a Sustainability Plan designed to make the Township more environmentally friendly and resilient. The activities detailed on the attached flier include cleanups, plantings, invasive removals and more.  Everyone is invited to take part; no registration is needed.

In appreciation for their efforts, Earth Day participants are eligible for a coupon for a free hot dog and soda during the Annual Downtown Glenside Arts Festival. The festival will run on April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Easton Road around Glenside Avenue in Glenside.

All Sustainable Cheltenham activities fall under the umbrella of the Cheltenham Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC). For more general Earth Day information, contact EAC Member Barb Duffy at beduffy@comcast.net. Contacts are provided for details about the specific events.
