New Chief of Police

John Frye (fifth from left) was recently sworn in as the new Cheltenham Township Chief of Police.
Frye first joined the Cheltenham Police Department in November 1995 and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Chief in December 2015. He has served as Acting Chief of Police since July 1, 2016, after the retirement of the former chief.

Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Steven C. Tolliver (fifth from right) administered the oath of office during a recent meeting of the Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners at Curtis Hall in Wyncote. Township Manager Bryan T. Havir (right) joined Commissioners (left to right) Drew Sharkey, Daniel B. Norris, Irv Brockington, Baron Holland, Morton J. Simon Jr., Brad M. Pransky and Ann L. Rappoport, along with many well-wishers, for the occasion.
