Preservation Month Lecture
BLACK HISTORY MONTH LECTURE IN CHELTENHAM
In honor of Black History Month, the
Cheltenham Township Historical Commission will present a free lecture,
presented by historical dramatist Noah Lewis, that depicts a first-person
account of American Revolutionary soldier Ned Hector, 1744-1834, famous for
his role at the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777 in Chaddsford,
Pennsylvania. The presentation will be held on Thursday, February 12 at
Curtis Hall, located at Church Road and Greenwood Avenue in Wyncote, at
8:00 p.m., after a 7:00 p.m. commission meeting that is also open to the
public. Refreshments will be available. Funding for this program was
