2005 EARTH DAY PROJECT.
On Earth Day, Sarah White (center, front) and (left to right, back) Ron Dunbar, Bob Brown, Patti Peet and Murray Peet joined a group of 35 Friends of Thomas Williams Park to place fresh woodchips provided by Cheltenham Township on the trail next to the basketball courts in Wyncote. Other Earth Day activities conducted at nine locations around the township included planting trees, bushes and flowers; removing litter, weeds and invasive plants; and labeling storm sewer inlets to discourage dumping since the inlets empty into the Tookany Creek.

Neighborhood, school and community groups will commemorate Earth Day with projects at several locations in Cheltenham Township on Saturday, April 19.  Everyone is invited to take part; no registration is needed.

Anyone who cannot join one of the listed activities but would still like to help should contact Barb Duffy at 215-885-1506.
