2008 Earth Day Activities |

NOTE: Many Earth Day activities will be conducted the week of April 21 at Cheltenham School District schools. Activities will include cleanups, planting, Tookany Creek water monitoring, etc. More information and sign up is available through the individual schools. Cheltenham School District Earth Day Festival is Saturday, April 26 from Noon to 3PM at Cedarbrook Middle School.

Neighborhood, school and community groups will commemorate Earth Day with projects at several locations in Cheltenham Township on Saturday, April 19. Everyone is invited to take part; no registration is needed. Anyone who cannot join one of the listed activities but would still like to help should contact Barb Duffy at 215-885-1506.
Tookany Creek Parkway Cleanup Competition (a friendly competition between Elkins Park & Cheltenham High School students) Activity: Cleanup Tookany Creek Parkway Meet: Cheltenham High School students meet at Presbyterian Church at 7507 Tookany Parkway. Elkins Park students meet at Griffin Field at Central Avenue.
