|
Final Draft (2008) (pdf) (Must have Adobe 8 to open) Executive Summary (pdf 2006) Map (pdf 2006) |
This study is examining the feasibility of a multi-use recreational trail along the old rail bed of the former Cresheim Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad, which traverses a portion of the Laverock neighborhood in Cheltenham Township. Today, the old rail bed lies within the PECO right-of-way underneath the high tension power lines between Cheltenham and Willow Grove Avenues. The Cresheim Trail fits within the overall Montgomery County Trails Plan. After 1.5 years and at least four public meetings, the consultant team of Campbell Thomas and Associates, along with the Steering Committee, will present the final draft of the trail feasibility study to the Township Parks and Recreation Committee on February 12, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. at the Township Administration Building, located at 8230 Old York Road in Elkins Park The public can email their comments to rthomas@campbellthomas.com by February 29, 2008. If you have any questions in the meantime, you are asked to call Bryan Havir, Assistant Township Manager at 215-887-6200, ext. 112. |
