Cheltenham in Bloom – an event inspired by a successful program from our twin city, Cheltenham, England – invites businesses to compete for prizes for the best seasonal hanging baskets, window boxes, ornamental plant containers or other floral displays that beautify the Elkins Park East and Elkins Park West commercial districts. The Elkins ParkRotary will serve as judges and provide the prizes.
The event will kick off in conjunction with Arts in the Park on Sunday, June 3 (rain date June 10) from 10AM to 5PM at High School Park, located at High School Road and Montgomery Avenue in Elkins Park. Shoppers can enjoy sidewalk sales and special discounts offered by businesses in Elkins Park East [Montgomery Ave & High School Rd] and West [Church & Old York Rds] Commercial Districts.
Sponsors for the event are the Elkins Park Rotary and the Glenside House Apartments.
