Glenside Business Improvement District Community Meeting on Tuesday, March 16 from 8:30AM-9:30AM at Glenside Hall, 185 S. Keswick Avenue in Glenside.

Cheltenham Township School District wants input from residents on the search for a new Superintendent of Schools. Due by March 17, 2010.

The Parks and Recreation Department brochure for spring programs is available.

Proposals for three major developments in the community are currently or soon to be in the zoning or subdivision/land development review process:

• Ashbourne Country Club, Ashbourne and Oak Lane Road, Cheltenham. NEW additions include amended zoning and steep slope plans and the Stuart Appel concept plan.

• 1777 E. Willow Grove Avenue in Laverock. The Township's Consultant developed a Concept Plan.

• Jenkintown-Wyncote Train Station Parking Garage. On January 13, SEPTA presented an update the proposed parking garage and improvements along with the parking demand study. Community members also made a presentation.

Meeting Location Changes

 The Public Affairs Committee, Public Safety Committee and Building and Zoning Committee meetings on the first Wednesdays of the month will be also held at Curtis Hall from January through June 2010.

 Upcoming Events

National Women's History Month - LaMott Community Center will host the “Harriet Tubman Living History Experience” from 2PM- 4PM on Saturday, March 27.

Spring Break Activities at both Community Centers March 29 - April 1.

Earth Day Activities: Everyone is invited to join cleanups, plantings and more slated throughout the community on April 17.

Glenside Farmers' Market reopens May 1, and a new CreekSide Farmers' Market at High School Park opens April 11.

Congrats, Grads invites high school and college seniors celebrate their momentous occasions with discounts at Cheltenham Township eateries from May 14 to June 27.
